Word Ladder

Word Ladder is the classic transformation puzzle: turn the top word into the bottom word one letter at a time, where every rung along the way has to be a real word. Play with 4- or 5-letter words — tap the number to switch. A daily ladder to share, plus an unlimited mode of freshly generated puzzles that always have a solution. Type or tap, undo a wrong turn, and take a hint when you’re stuck — reach the target in as few steps as you can.

How to play

Change the start word into the target word by editing ONE letter at a time. Every word you make must be a real word. Type your next word (or tap it on the on-screen keyboard) and press Enter to add a rung. Use ↶ to undo your last rung, ? for a hint, and the 4/5 button to switch word length. Reach the target word to win — the fewer steps and hints, the better.
